Telephonic Case Management is used for routine cases where medically based intervention is necessary but face-to-face contact does not provide additional benefits. For the more complex cases including catastrophic injuries, Field Case Management is almost always a must. To ensure consistency, all Field Case Managers findings and recommendations are relayed back through the Primary Case Manager who has ultimate case responsibility.
